How well does your pastor know you???

Ever heard of John Hus???  He once said "I desire to be as Balaam's ass. Because the prelates sit on me, wishing to force me to go against the command of God, to stop preaching, I will press the feet of their desire and will not obey them, for the angel of the Lord stands before me in the way"

He was the father of reforms. Hus soundly rebuked the priests who did not pastor their churches but used them only for personal gain and prestige. He said "we today's shepherd do not know our sheep,except those which have wool more abundantly. The sheep which brings more wool and offering we regard higher and know them better ; those however which bring less, we know less.

The scripture says in the book of John 10:27 my sheep hear my voice and I know them and they follow me. John 10:4 I am the good shepherd and know my sheep and am known of mine verse 15 And I lay down my life for the sheep.

It's quite unfortunate that many pastors these days don't know their work as a shepherd, instead they resort to fame, popularity, exotic living and Prosperity. Most members just go to church and come back their pastor doesn't even know if they exist. Because they don't bring in money and gifts. The only sheep they know are rich and influential men in their congregation.

One thing I want to vehemently state here is that; if your pastor can't identfy you by your name, where you live, the business you do, and not only know your challenges, but also identifies with you in times of those challenges, till you overcome. He isn't worthy to be called a shepherd, he said "I lay down my life for the sheep.

" The villagers might know the stream, but how many villagers does the stream know" Many of our pastors in this generation are like that stream. Your pastor should identify with your problems, pastoral job isn't to climb on the altar and dishes out the bread of life, it's more than that.
